What Makes Poly Furniture Different?
LuxCraft furniture is made from high-density polyethylene, or HDPE, containing more than 90% recycled post-consumer material. Milk jugs, detergent bottles, and similar plastics are processed into solid poly lumber that can be cut and built much like wood. The big difference comes after the furniture gets home.
Poly outdoor furniture does not need to be stained, sealed, or repainted. It resists moisture, insects, splintering, and warping, so you are not signing yourself up for the maintenance that comes with traditional wood furniture.
It is also a substantial step up from lightweight molded resin furniture. LuxCraft uses solid poly lumber to build full-size outdoor furniture with the weight, construction, and feel of a permanent piece. Cleaning is pretty straightforward. Brush off loose dirt, rinse the furniture with a hose, and use mild soap and water when it needs a deeper cleaning.
Built to Last Outdoors
Outdoor furniture in Tennessee sees plenty of sun, heat, rain, and cold weather over the course of a year. LuxCraft builds its furniture with that exposure in mind. The poly lumber uses UV-stabilized pigments to help the color hold up under prolonged sunlight. Stainless steel fasteners help resist corrosion, while the material itself does not absorb moisture the way wood can.
LuxCraft furniture is made in the USA at the company’s workshop in Ohio Amish Country, where craftsmen use traditional furniture-building techniques with modern poly lumber.
For residential use, LuxCraft backs its furniture with a limited lifetime warranty. That warranty says quite a bit about how these pieces are intended to be used. Put them on the porch, around the fire pit, beside the pool, or out on the patio and leave them there.
